Honorata Alcaide Obituary
Born and raised in the Philippines, Honi decided to chart a new course for herself. At the age of 20, she packed her bags and bought a one-way ticket to America. Destination - Tennessee. Her love of Elvis drew her to Nashville. And while her dream of meeting him didn't come true, she did meet Vincente. The two would marry, relocate to Connecticut and go on to have her two boys, Ronnie and Christopher. She balanced raising her boys with a long career, 44 years, in hematology at Norwalk Hospital.
A soft-spoken woman with unmeasurable compassion for those around her, Honi was steadfast in her Catholic faith, which carried her through the many challenges she faced in life.
She is survived by her sons and their wives, Ronnie (Erin) and Christopher (Carrie) and her greatest joys, her grandchildren, Kaleah (8) and Ronan (6). She loved her family, both near and far, and especially all of the Alcaide siblings with whom she built her life in Norwalk.
