Joan Marie Asciutto Obituary
Joan Marie Asciutto, 92, died on May 17, 2024 at her home in Norwalk. She was born in New York City and resided with her father, Louis Lods, mother, Carolyn Lods, and brother, Louis Lods Jr. in Bellerose, NY. Joan married Alfred Asciutto in 1958.
She worked as a secretary for Perkin-Elmer Corporation, a company known for its work on NASA's Hubble Space Telescope, and was a devoted volunteer at Norwalk Hospital for many years. For leisure, Joan enjoyed taking Holland America cruise ships all over the world with her beloved and devoted husband, Alfred.
She is survived by her nephews Philip Lods, William Balzac, Frederick Balzac Jr., Andrew Bender and her sister-in-law, MaryJane Lods.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, May 30, at St. Mary Church, 669 West Ave., Norwalk. Other services to be held privately. Memorial donations may be made to: St. Jude Children's Hospital.
