Jorge R. Villalta Obituary
Jorge R. Villalta, 96, passed away on January 11, 2026 at Autumn Lake Healthcare in Norwalk. Born in San Jose, Costa Rica, he is the husband of Ana I. Badilla Villalta. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1965 To establish a new life for his young family.
Retired from Perkin-Elmer, where he worked as a machinist for many years. He loved cars and airplanes the most. He also enjoyed tinkering with devices retrofitting them to optimize their use, doing jigsaw puzzles, and watching action movies.
Predeceased by seven siblings, Jorge is survived by his wife Ana Villalta, 2 sons George and Ronald Villalta, 3 daughters Susie Villalta-Smith, Sylvia Villalta and Nancy Grant, 7 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
His family would like to acknowledge the staff at Autumn Lake for their care provided to Jorge during his final years battling dementia.
Graveside Services, officiated by pastor Miles Aherns will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, January 16, at Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Avenue, Norwalk. Friends and family are welcome to attend, followed by a luncheon.
