Joseph L. Drap Obituary
Joseph L. Drap, beloved husband of Carol (Radomski) Drap, passed away on April 16, 2026, he was 79 years old. He was born in Bridgeport, CT on March 14, 1947 to the late Joseph and Mildred (Kubik) Drapp.
Joseph was a huge sports fan closely following the NY Giants and UConn Basketball. He also enjoyed spending time with his family at Walt Disney World.
Joseph proudly served his country in the navy during the Vietnam era . He then spent most of his career in law enforcement in different roles and retired as a detective with the Wilton police department . Given that Joe was not one to slow down he then spent 10 years working at the DMV in Norwalk . Through his various careers Joe connected with many and made many close friends.
In addition to his wife, Joseph is survived by his two sons: Matthew (Tony) and Daniel (Mary) as well as his cherished grandchildren: Luke, Lily and Julia. He also leaves behind his siblings: Andrew, Marianne, and Larry and long time close family friend Cheryl Rodgers. He was predeceased by his daughter Karen in 2011.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday April 22, 2026, 10:00 am at St. Philips Church, 1 Fr. Conlon Pl. Norwalk, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the North Shore Animal League.
