Judith W. Seifert Obituary
Judith W. Seifert passed away on September 21, 2026 at Norwalk Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Flushing, NY on February 19, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Frederick and Anna White, and was also predeceased her husband Paul Seifert, and her brothers Robert White and Frederick White.
Judy grew up in Corona, NY until her family moved to CT in 1953. She graduated Norwalk High School in 1955. As a teenager she began working as a telephone operator for SNET and retired as a Facilities Assigner in 1990. Judy married John Farrell in 1958 and they had four children. After their divorce in 1973, she raised her children on her own.
In 1985 she married Paul Seifert. They were together until his death in 1997. Her family was her pride and joy and she loved them deeply. Her family will miss her dearly and knows she will watch over them.
She is survived by her four children, Laura Farrell of Norwalk, CT, David Farrell of Deer Isle, ME, Lisa Montaine (Michael) of Norwalk, CT and Eric Farrell (Laura) of Trumbull, CT, four grandchildren, Claire Berger (Dan) of Bowdoinham, ME, Erin Montaine-Porrelli (Danny) of Monroe, CT, Mitchell Farrell (Felicia) of Newtown, CT and Meghan Nykorchuck (TJ) of Wethersfield, CT, and four great grandchildren, Kenley Berger, Beckett Farrell and Callen and Quinn Porrelli, as well as her sister Susan Young (Parry) of New York City, Sister-in-laws, Susan White and Patsy White and many nieces and nephews.
Her family would like to acknowledge the staff at Maplewood-Strawberry Hill for their care and support these last years.
Her family will receive friends on Monday, October 5, from 6 - 8 PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. Her Funeral Services, officiated by Reverend John Livingston, will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, October 6, with private burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. (Stjude.org).
