Katherine Lucchesi Obituary

Katherine Lucchesi, affectionately known as "Kitty," passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025, at Norwalk Hospital, surrounded by love. She was 92 years old.

Born on February 22, 1933, in Norwalk, CT, Kitty was the daughter of the late Lorenzo and Constantina (Marro) Zullo. She was the beloved wife of the late James E. Lucchesi, and a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, whose family was always the center of her life.

Kitty grew up in Norwalk as the youngest of nine children, in a close and deeply connected family. These early bonds shaped her lifelong devotion to family, faith, and tradition. Throughout her life, she remained close with her relatives and was the heart of her family, a role she embraced with strength, warmth, and quiet leadership.

She was known for her fighting spirit, kind and loving heart, and wonderful sense of humor, as well as an energy that defied her age. Kitty was a dedicated and loyal friend, always willing to lend a helping hand. Her warmth, resilience, and laughter left a lasting impression on everyone she met, and she will be profoundly missed.

Kitty is survived by her son, James "PT" Lucchesi, and her daughter, Lisa Lucchesi, and her wife, Gwen, as well as her two cherished grandchildren, James "Naki" Lucchesi and Marisa Lucchesi, who brought her immense pride and joy. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, Kitty was predeceased by all eight of her brothers and sisters.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Road, Norwalk with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery. Live stream link.
