He was predeceased by: his parents, June Stock Ahlgren and C. Frederick Schlegel; his siblings, Karen Schlegel and Peter Schlegel; and his grandmother Anne Stock.
He is survived by: his wife Pauline Schlegel; his daughters, Catherine Moreus Turner (Wesley Turner) and Michelle Moreus (David Lindsay); and his grandsons, Wesley B. Turner and Maxwell Turner.
