Nicola Mallozzi Obituary

Nicola Mallozzi, 76, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on November 30, 1949, in Marina di Minturno, Italy, Nicola immigrated to the United States in 1971 in search of opportunity and a better life. He built a life defined by hard work, integrity, and devotion to his family. As a master stone mason, Nicola took immense pride in his craft, viewing all his accomplishments as his expression of art. His work was not only a livelihood, but a reflection of his strength, skill, and unwavering commitment to excellence.

Nicola was known for his honesty, dependability, and quiet strength. He was a man of few words but deep love, a man who showed up, did the job right, always helped others in need, and never looked for praise. Outside of work, you would find him working on cars, riding his Harley with friends, and making pizza in his hand-crafted brick oven, embracing the simple pleasures that brought him peace and happiness.

He is predeceased by his parents, Vittoria Adipietro and Antonio Mallozzi.

Nicola's world revolved around his family. He was the rock for his wife and love of his life of 51 years, Teresa, and a devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by his children, Massimo (Kelly), Claudio (Renee), and Patrizia (Mario), as well as his beloved seven grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

He is further survived by his siblings: Maria Lombardi, Angelo Mallozzi, Giovanna Lombardi, Natalina Fino, and Antonio Mallozzi, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Nicola leaves behind a legacy of strength, sacrifice, and unconditional love. He will be remembered not only for the life he built with his hands, but for the love he gave so freely to those around him.

His family will receive friends on Friday, Apr.10, from 4-7 PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM on Saturday, Apr 11, at Assumption Church, 98 Riverside Ave., Westport, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery.
