Paul F. Harris Obituary

Paul F. Harris, 96, passed away at his home in Norwalk surrounded by his family on Tuesday, Dec 12, 2023. Born in Springfield, VT, son of the late Theodore Mineau and Charlotte Harris. He was also predeceased by his wife, Louise (Brennan) Harris, and two sons: Timothy and Mark Harris.

A proud veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and Korea. Affectionately called Pa by his family, he was a hard-working man: he was a firefighter for over 34 years, retired as a Lieutenant from the Norwalk Fire Department, worked at CT Limousine, was an active member of the Greater Norwalk Credit Union, and co-owner of The Old Shop located on Wall Street.

He is survived by his son David Harris and wife Kim of Norwalk; daughters-in-law Patty and Elaine; beloved grandchildren Jennifer, Mark, Jonathan, Colleen, Kristin, Fran, Shannon, Paul, and Ryan; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He truly loved his family and friends. His jokes and sense of humor were enjoyed by all that knew him. His laugh was infectious.

His family will receive friends on Friday, Dec 15 from 4-8 PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, 9AM, at St. Mary Church, 669 West Ave., Norwalk. Burial with military honors will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
