He was predeceased by: his parents, Tim Gakos and Chris Bali Gakos. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Curran Gakos; his sons, Peter, Robert and Kevin (Laurie); and his grandchildren, Cole, Chase, Kyle, Curran, Kinzey, Keeley and Kaia Gakos.
Donations may be made in his name to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation or to the Whittingham Cancer Center of Norwalk Hospital.
