Philip J. Mendence Obituary
Philip J. Mendence, 71, of Norwalk, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Philip was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose greatest joys in life were his four daughters, seven grandchildren, Fred, his cat, hunting and many rounds of golf.
Phil was known as the hardest worker you could ever meet. He ran Crystal Ice with dedication and heart until just about a year ago. His strength, loyalty and tireless work ethic will be remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years Francine Mendence, and their daughters and husbands: Danielle, Kasey (Bill), Kristen (Sergio) and Caitlin (Jeff). He was also survived by his seven cherished grandchildren who adored their Papa- SJ, Lena, Olivia, Calvin, Sebastian, Carson, and Isla. His legacy lives on through them and the values he instilled in all who knew him.
Calling hours are Thursday July 3, 2025, from 3 to 4:30 pm with a prayer service beginning at 4:30 at Magner Funeral Home 12 Mott Ave. Norwalk, CT 06850. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you remember Philip by spending time with loved ones and enjoying a sunny day on the golf course — just as he would have.
