It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Treschitta of Norwalk, Connecticut, who passed away on September 20, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rita Treschitta to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband John; her son Ronald; and her granddaughter Claire. She is survived by: her sister Dianne Flagello; and her children, John (Mary), Domenick, Veronica, Kenneth (Linda), Louis (Nora), Nicholas (Jeanne) and Melissa Sullivan (Shawn). She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Donations: In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Rita's name to St. Matthews Church 216 Scribner Ave. Norwalk, CT 06854 where her and her husband were members since its founding.

“I have so many fond memories of Rita from the countless Treschitta family gatherings I’ve enjoyed over nearly 50 years of friendship with Ken and Linda. She proudly doted on her family, and I admired her many talents—her paintings, the outfits she sewed for her grandchildren, and her wonderful cooking (her eggplant parmigiana was the best!). She always kept busy, taking classes to learn new crafts and staying active. She was loved and will be greatly missed. ~Beth Stoller”
