Roland Cote Obituary

Roland Cote of Norwalk died Thursday, September 10, 20216 on his 100th birthday at Norwalk Hospital.

He was born on September 10, 1926 in Norwalk, the son of the late Joseph Desire Cote and Arline Lino Lerami. He was a lifelong resident of Norwalk.

Roy was a World War II veteran serving in the United States Navy on a destroyer escort. He was honorably discharged as a Seaman First Class on May 23, 1946.

Later Roy worked as a glass blower for Machlett Laboratories in Stamford, CT. An avid golfer, Roy later worked and played for many years at Oak Hills Golf Course where he retired from in May 2026.

Roy was predeceased by his wife, Gertrude (O'Connor) Cote. He is survived by a sister and several brothers, nieces, and nephews.

Interment will be private. The family requests that contributions be made to the Connecticut Children's Medical Center Foundation.
