Severiano Vazquez Obituary

Severiano Vazquez, beloved husband of Sara (Carde) Vazquez, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025 (Easter) at the age of 87. He was born in Puerto Rico on October 2, 1937 to the late Rejino Vazquez and Nazaria Gonzalez. Severiano Vazquez: He was a young man when he left Puerto Rico and started his life with his wife in Stamford, Connecticut. When he first started, they did not have a lot of money. He took the bus to the hospital with his pregnant wife, saving his last coin for the trip back to hospital walking home in a January winter blizzard.

Always sacrificing for his wife and children.

In addition to his wife Sara, Severiano had two sons/daughters Orlando married to Dawn Hendricks, Marisol married to Dave Aubrey, Luis and Maribel.

He also has 10 grandchildren: Orlando Jr, Alicia, Aaron, Sharlyn, Christoper, Alena, Julia, Tristan, Isabela and Mia Lena.

And 7 great grandchildren: Dezmond, Alijah, Jasiah, Aliana Lei, Thaddo IV, Amorse & Olivia, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Everyone loved him. He attended many school plays and games, always enjoying and encouraging his children. A dedicated Christian who ministered at St Joesph church, giving himself to service until God called him home.

His family will have a visitation on Wednesday April 30, 2025 at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave. Norwalk, CT from 5-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday May 1, 2025 10:00 am at St Joseph's Church, 85 South Main St. Norwalk, CT 06854 followed by burial at St. John's Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave. Norwalk, CT.
