Sonia (Marie Linda) Augustin Obituary
Sonia (Marie Linda) Augustin, 68, of Norwalk, died on July 6, 2025 at Norwalk Hospital. Born in Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Augustin and Marie Rosana Mompremier.
She worked for Maplewood at Strawberry Hill most recently, and had worked for Days Inn/ Four Points Hotel and Overlook Park in the past.
She enjoyed cooking, doing crossword puzzles watching her shows (such as: soap operas, Bachelor, 90 Day Fiance, Jeoprady, and Masked Singer). She also loved, listening to music, no matter the genre and spending time with family during the holidays.
She is survived by her two sons Jean Argant and Henry Argant (Ashley Alavarez), as well as six siblings, Michelle Azor Larose, Nicole Azor Muse, Guy Augustin, Marie Cecile Compas, Jean Rock Mompremier and Viviane Mompremier, and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Her family will receive friends on Friday July 18, from 6-8 PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM on Saturday, July 19, with burial to follow at St. John cemetery, Norwalk.
