Theresa Pollander Obituary

Theresa R. Pollander, 97, died on Sept. 4, 2025 at Notre Dame Health and Rehab Center in Norwalk. Born in Wheelock, VT, to the late Emanuel and Emilia (Nault) Lavigne, she was the youngest of 11 siblings, and was predeceased by all of them, as well as her husband Aldei J. Pollander.

She worked for a time at Dataswitch and MetLife and was an active member of St. Mary Church. She enjoyed playing guitar, singing and cooking, and was a devoted wife and mother.

Theresa is survived by her children, Loretta Pollander, Stanley Pollander and his wife Jill, Suzette Pollander and Suzanne Maksel, and two grandchildren Michael and Erin Pollander.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated privately in the Chapel at Notre Dame Health & Rehab Center, Norwalk, and she was laid to rest beside her husband at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk.
