He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude Merwin, and Timothy Merwin, Jr.; his sisters, Jane Merwin, Alice Fales and Martha Burr; his aunt Eleanor; his uncle Augustus Merwin; his cousin John Merwin; and his niece Christine Burr.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Vasale Merwin; his daughters, Chelsea Merwin (Kenny) of Wilton and Victoria Merwin of Wilton; his cousins, Gus and Tommy Merwin; and his brother-in-law Thomas Vasale. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bouton Funeral Home (31 W Church St, Wilton, CT 06897). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Hillside Cemetery (165 Ridgefield Rd, Wilton, CT 06897).
