She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Yorke and Loretta Yorke. She is survived by: her husband Stanford Richard Lawrence; her sons, Fitzroy Paul Lawrence, Oliver Garth Lawrence and Antonio Ian Lawrence; her sisters, Verona Gordon and Pauline Barnett; her granddaughters, Brandy Oliva Lawrence and Taylor Marie Lawrence; her sisters, Ethlyn Mae Gordon and America; Lester Yorke. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church (21 Concord St, Norwalk, CT 06854). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at the Riverside Cemetery (81 Riverside Ave, Norwalk, CT 06850).
Valda Lawrence was well known for her charitable donations to veterans' organization and children's charities.
