Victor Manuel Nieves Obituary

Victor Manuel Nieves of Norwalk, beloved husband of Iris (Roman) Nieves, died on March 2, 2026 at Norwalk Hospital at the age of 87. Born in Aquadilla, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Maximino and Candida (Badillo) Nieves, he was also predeceased by his brother Humberto.

Victor worked several jobs over the course of his career, including as plant foreman at Norwalk Container and retiring from Fairfield Manor. He also served as a crossing guard after retiring.

He enjoyed fishing, gardening, listening to Latin music, collecting lighthouses and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his beloved wife of 66 years, Victor is survived by their four children, Jose, Luis, Aris and Ivette, Four loving grandchildren Bobby, Tony, Alicia and Deanna, and Four cherished great-grandchildren Mason, Nathaniel, Noah and Khalil, as well as five siblings, Graciela, Luis, Aida, Ada and Ruben.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7, from 3 to 4:30PM, at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk, with a prayer service to begin at 4:30PM.
