It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Covington Holland Jr. of Norwich, Connecticut, who passed away on November 16, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Covington departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Covington may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Covington leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Covington Holland, Sr. and Virginia Holland (Franklin); and his sisters, Betty McCray and Greta McClellan. He is survived by: his children, Covington Holland III, Anthony Holland, Camille Soucy, Eric Stiggle, Michael Stiggle and Kenneth Roderick. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
