With sadness, we share the passing of Dominica Silver (Norwich, Connecticut). Dominica, born on July 8, 1948, passed away on October 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Julio Vaz and Eva (Depina); and her brothers, Carlos and John Vaz. She is survived by: her daughter Anna Allison (George) of Groton; her husband Peter J. Silver of Groton; her stepdaughter Angel Soares (Troy) of East Providence, RI; her siblings, Salomao Vaz, Nova Edwards (Vaz), Maria Vaz of New London, Julia Depina (Alfredo) of Norwich, Ilda Ray (Chandler) of Willamantic and Joana Depina (Vaz Andrade); her granddaughter Halaya Soares of East Providence; her godson Jayson Vaz (Rosie) of Quaker Hill; Emma and Jaxon.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cummings - Gagne Funeral Home (82 Cliff St, Norwich, CT 06360). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (70 Central Ave, Norwich, CT 06360).
