It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joy S. Leary of Norwich, Connecticut, who passed away on April 22, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Michael J. Leary; and her parents, Josephine Somerville (Antinori) and Leonard W. Somerville. She is survived by: her daughters, Leslie Medalie (Seth) of Needham, Massachusetts and Tracy Driscoll (Mark) of Dedham; and her grandchildren, Ryan, Caitlin Medalie, Kelsie (Ouellette), Hayley and Geneva Driscoll. She is also survived by cousins and relatives.
She accepted the position of Executive Director of the Norwich based Eastern Connecticut Community Foundation in 1995 where she remained until its merger with the New London Community Foundation (now the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut).
