He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Erb (Zable) and Herman Erb; and his siblings, Gayle, Nancy, Margie, Jerry and Walt.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his son Todd (Angela) of Waterford; his great grandchild Layne Josephine Mendillo; his brother Robert David Erb of Taftville; his sisters-in-law, Donna McCaffrey and Lorraine Erb; his extended family, Leslie, Barrett Galbraith of Glastonbury, Rich and Lynn Abraham (John) of Waterford; Catherine. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
