Rita I. Dugas Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rita I. Dugas (Norwich, Connecticut), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 30, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Marien and Irene Marien (Bourdon); her siblings, Roger, Richard (Dish), Pete Marien and Doris Marien; her grandson Tyler Markey; and her mother-in-law Rosalida Dugas.
She is survived by: her husband Bob Dugas; her children, Kathy Cirillo (Vinnie), Karen Esposito (Mark McNally) and James Dugas (Debbie); her grandchildren, Kyle, Dylan Markey, Brooke Planamento (Esposito), Dan Esposito, Chad and Ryan Dugas; her great grandchildren, MaKaylah, Lila Dugas, Grayson, Cole Planamento, Quintin and Brody Markey; her grandchild Hadley Dugas; her sister Theresa Portelance; and her siblings-in-law, Gerry Marien and Alfred Dugas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Church (11 Baltic Rd, Norwich, CT 06360). A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the St. Mary's Cemetery (815 Boswell Ave, Norwich, CT 06360).
