With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley Buddington of Norwich, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 11, 2026 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester A. Toenniessen and Anna Toenniessen (Zajac); her grandson Christopher Gibson; and her sister Jane Pilecki. She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Buddington of Norwich, Michael Buddington (Kim) of Union, SC., Debra Richeimer (William) of Noank, Linda Bresnan (Kevin) of Jacksonville, FL. and Donna Beatty (Dan) of Waterford; her grandchildren, Chad, Kevin, Dawn, Heather, Taylor, Andrew and Samuel; and her sister-in-law Beverly Doney. She is also survived by many great grandchildren.

Donations may be made in Shirley's honor to Fairview Nursing Home, 235 Lestertown Rd., Groton, CT., 06340.
