As Steve departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Steve. Though Steve may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

He is survived by: his parent Alirio Joao Gomes Rodrigues; his son Levi Tremaine Rodrigues; his granddaughters, Delilah Rosalee Rodrigues and Annabella Rosé Rodrigues; his sisters, Ana Maria Rodrigues LaPlace and Marta DeAndrade Rodrigues; his siblings' children, Corey Neil LaPlace, Jr., Jordan Armand LaPlace and Alexia Raeana Kennedy; his great-niece Caliana Rose Lindsay; and also Audilia DeAndrade Rodrigues. He is also survived by uncles, aunts and cousins.

Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Church & Allen Funeral Home (136 Sachem St, Norwich, CT 06360). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Cathedral of St. Patrick (213 Broadway, Norwich, CT 06360). A burial was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at the St. Joseph Cemetery (815 Boswell Ave, Norwich, CT 06360).
