The family announces the passing of Richard M. Steele of Old Greenwich, Connecticut on October 10, 2026. Richard, born on April 15, 1936, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter R. Steele and Rose Lesko Steele. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo; his children, Anne Steele Kochevar (Dan), Judy Steele Clarke (Eddie), Susan Steele and Matthew Steele (Samantha); his grandchildren, Kyle Kochevar, Brooke Kochevar Maher (Kyle), Jackson Steele, Dyer Steele and George Clarke; his great grandchild Hanora Maher; and his brother Walter R. Steele, Jr.. He is also survived by two nieces and one nephew.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home (31 Arch St, Greenwich, CT 06830). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Catherine of Siena and St. Agnes Church (4 Riverside Ave, Riverside, CT 06878).
