With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John Thomas Redway of Old Saybrook, Connecticut, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. John Thomas left this world on July 26, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Redway and Alice Redway (Griffin); and his sisters, Juanita Baltovich and Irene Ferrara. He is survived by: his wife Susanne Clara (Streib); and his children, Kathleen (Joseph), Nora (Clynes), Barbara (Leonard), Christine (Carl), Aimée (Richard), Elizabeth (Todd) and John (Rebecca). He is also survived by his 30 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home (34 Main St, Centerbrook, CT 06409). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St John Church (161 Main St, Old Saybrook, CT 06475).
In honor of Jack's lifelong devotion to family and faith-filled education, donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St John School, 42 Maynard Rd, Old Saybrook, CT 06475.
