He was predeceased by: his mother Larissa Pond; his sister Linda; and his friend Nanu. He is survived by: his father Joseph H. Pond; his children, Peter J Pond and Angelica Benevides (Michael); his grandchildren, Adeline and Mason; and his siblings, Jennifer, Gregory (Irene) and James (Christine). He is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews and three grand nephews and many cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Dougherty Brothers Funeral Home (595 Norwich Rd, Plainfield, CT 06374). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the All Hallows Church (126 Prospect St, Moosup, CT 06354). A graveside service was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the All Hallows Cemetery - Moosup.
In lieu of flowers , donations may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute or Saint Jude Children's Hospital in Peters memory.'.
