She was loved and cherished by many people including : her husband John Ambrusco Sr.; her siblings, Palma Cappetta, Elisabetta Cappetta, Antonio, Alessandro, Mario, Giuseppe and Gerardo Malangone; her children, Lucia Aschettino (Raffaele) of Branford and John Ambrusco Jr. (Denise) of Milford; her grandchildren, Marisa, Sofia Aschettino, Ava and John Edward Ambrusco III; her siblings, Donnatella Rubino, Lucia Germana and Carmine Malangone; her boyfriend Aldo Pappa; and her parents, Sabato and Lucia Rubino Malangone. She was also cherished by her mother and nine siblings.

“I am so sad to hear of Giovanna’s passing. A sweeter woman you’ll never meet. She always had a smile for everyone and a positive outlook on life despite her Illness. My greeting for her was always Ciao Bella because that was what she was. A beautiful soul. She was the picture of elegance at every occasion. And I enjoyed our visits. She adored her son and daughter and grandchildren and family. She spoke of them often. She will be missed by many. RIP Giovanna!”
