He is survived by: his sons, John M. Barton III and James Barton; his partner Lee Schlesinger; his close friend Maura Harrigan; and also, G. G., Ana, Derek, Jeff, Sarah Pollack (Ross), Marian, Ian Schlesinger, Coren and Eva.
