She was predeceased by : her spouse Anastasios Lapatas; her parents, Panagiotis Karabela and Evagelia Karabela; and her brother Theodoros Karabelas.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church (480 Racebrook Rd, Orange, CT 06477). A burial was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at the Carrington Cemetery.
