He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Kirwood and Helen Wegman Kirwood; his daughter Lisa Landon; and his brother Robert Kirwood. He is survived by: his wife Lucia Bartiromo Kirwood; his children, Zachary, Bowen and Josh Kirwood; and his brother Ronald Kirwood. He is also survived by grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
