With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sophie Rogers of Orange, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 19, 2024 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sophie Rogers to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Michael Samuskewicz and Helen Samuskewicz; her husband Carl F. Rogers; her siblings, Alexander, Michael, John, Peter, Nadya and Mary Horelick; her grandson Jonathan Rogers; and her close friend Joseph Curran.

She is survived by : her sons, Carl J. Rogers (Jane) and Michael W. Rogers (Donna); and her granddaughters, Alexandra (Dane Hanson), Jacqueline Rogers and Amelia (William Spellman).

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Pistey Funeral Home (2155 Main St, Stratford, CT 06615). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Ghost Russian Orthodox Church (1510 E Main St, Bridgeport, CT 06608).

In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to donate to the Alzheimer's Association.
