We are sad to announce that on December 5, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Frederic Edwin Schumitz of Oxford, Connecticut. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his spouse Shirley Schumitz; and his parents, Charles Schumitz and Mildred Schumitz. He is survived by: his children, Larry Schumitz, Glen Schumitz (Joan) and Lynn Dreher (Elijah); his grandchildren, Matthew Schumitz (Denise), Lars Schumitz, Jennifer McCullough (Timothy), Kevin Schumitz, Jake Grasso and Benjamin Grasso; and his girlfriend Judith Hosking.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home (291 Bridgeport Ave, Milford, CT 06460). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Frederic's honor may be made to The Masonic Charity Foundation of Connecticut.
