He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Cregan and Marguerite Cregan (Foran). He is survived by: his pet Myles; his nieces, Maureen Casorio (Carter Flatt), Margaret Rushlow (Richard Rushlow) and Yvette Dyson (Shaun Dyson); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Abigail Lombardi (Nicholas Lombardi), Christopher Casorio (Consuelo Torrini), Kristin Donnelly (Christopher Donnelly) and Kevin Rushlow.

Memorial donations can be made in John's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
