We announce the death of Rita Rival of Plainville, Connecticut, who passed away on October 18, 2026, at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Therrien and Maria Therrien (Bolduc). She is survived by: her children, Dale Rival (Laura), Thomas Rival (Audrey), Karlyn Jackson (Michael), Steven Rival (Rachel), Jill Marsh (Daniel) and Judy Rival. She is also survived by grandchildren, and 14 loving great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home (48 Broad St, Plainville, CT 06062). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Mercy Church (94 Broad St, Plainville, CT 06062).
