He was predeceased by: his parents, Stella Mackiewicz and Teofil Mackiewicz; his wife Barbara Mackiewicz (Stone); his son Walter Mackiewiz, Jr.; his brothers, Chet, Henry and Edward Mackiewicz (Max); and his grandson Saxxon Mackiewicz.
He is survived by: his close friend Dianne Prentice of Micco, FL; his children, Brenda Gannon, Betsy Witkowski of Plainville, CT and Wayne Mackiewicz (Dyann) of Andover, CT.; his grandchildren, Kailie Gannon, Kristin Gannon Hildebrand, Corey Gannon and Breanna Witkowski of Bristol, CT.; his great grandchildren, Sorcha Gehl, Zoey Gannon, Iselyne Mackiewicz, Riley Sargis and Dylan Hildebrand; and his pet Molly.
