Though Leona may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, August Rohraff and Viola Rohraff (Arquette); and her husband Virgil J. Kovachich. She is survived by: her children, VirLee Kovachich of Preston, CT, Denise Stygar of Waterford, CT, Teresa Pensis of North Stonington, CT, Virgil J. Kovachich II of Vermont and Patricia Jankowski of Preston, CT. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Catherine of Siena (243 CT-164, Preston, CT 06365).
