In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Lowell leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Lowell may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Perlin Calkins and Marion Calkins (Krohn); and his sister Judith Fox. He is survived by: his wife Alice Calkins (Avery) of Preston; his son David (Lynette) of Wallingford; and his grandchildren, Sienna and Savannah. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Preston City Congregational Church (321 CT-164, Preston, CT 06365). A reception was held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Maplewood Cemetery (184 Salem Turnpike, Norwich, CT 06360).
