He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeff Virgil "J. V." Whitlock, Sr. and Mary Lou Wehunt Whitlock; and his brothers, Lamatine Whitlock, James Edward Whitlock, Sr. and Jeff Virgil "J. V." Whitlock, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Heffner Whitlock; his daughter Kimberly Whitlock Richards; and his siblings, Lois Whitlock of Toccoa, Joe Whitlock of Carnesville, Winston Whitlock of Toccoa and Grady Whitlock of Toccoa.
