He was predeceased by: his parents, Philomena "Fannie" Matto (Voccia) and Charles Matto; and his siblings, Phyllis Onofrio, Sandra Mulholland and Richard Matto.
He is survived by: his wife Janet; his son Christopher Matto; his grandson Christopher "CJ" Matto (Caitlin); and his great grandchildren, Genevieve Matto and Frank Matto.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Prospect Memorial/The Palmerie Family Funeral Home (122 Waterbury Rd, Prospect, CT 06712). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at the Woodbury Cemetery (87 Washington Ave, Woodbury, CT 06798).
