He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Drake and Rita Drake (Grimes); his sister Elizabeth Hammond; and his daughter Doreen Drake. He is survived by: his wife Laura S. Drake (Galon); his children, Diane Bell, Daryl Drake (Kim), Donna Drake, Denise Donahue (Shawn), Daniel Drake, Brandon Potter, Amanda Johansen (Zachary) and Loreille Drake; and his siblings, Milton Drake (Debbie), Carol Wilks, Lorna Lee (Richard) and Nancy Mattenson (Richard). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.
