She was predeceased by: her father Thomas McGovern; her husband John "Jack" D. Gilchrist; and her son John G. Gilchrist. She is survived by: her mother Pauline McGovern; her daughters, Betty Ann Meny (Robert) of Redding and Linda Andrews (Michael) of Ridgefield; her grandchildren, Jessica (Kevin Kolahi), Ryan, Brynn, Nicholas, Scott Gilchrist, Paxton Meny, Patrick, Caitlin and Brendan Andrews; and her great grandchildren, Claire Kolahi, Margot and Phoebe Gilchrist. She is also survived by mother, friend, and lifelong lover of animals.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kane Funeral Home (25 Catoonah St, Ridgefield, CT 06877). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (55 Catoonah St, Ridgefield, CT 06877).
