He is survived by : his daughters, Joanne Doherty (Kevin), Lauren Bailey (Carl) and Nicola Broughton; his granddaughter Evelyn Rose Doherty; his brother Peter; his sister-in-law Diane Scott; his nephews, Alex, John and Tom Scott; his sister-in-law Alison Lowry; and his niece Roxanne Dalton.
