It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred R Cogliandro of Riverside, Connecticut, who passed away on May 29, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Dominick J. Cogliandro; and her siblings, Nicola Rizzi, Vincent Rizzi, Eugene Rizzi, Maria Grazia Tornatore, Raquel, Vincenza Balducci and Felicia Stramandinoli.
She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Cogliandro; her daughter-in-law Amanda Zuretti; her son John Cogliandro (Maureen); her grandchildren, Abigail, Daniel Cogliandro, Kyle and Ryan Gildea; and her great grandchildren, Benjamin and Max Gildea. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Catherine Church (4 Riverside Ave, Riverside, CT 06878). A burial will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at the St. Mary's Cemetery (399 North Street, Greenwich, CT 06830). She also found great joy in mentoring middle school and high school students and in making unique floral pins for each Hill House resident during the Covid pandemic.
