He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Avitus Hogan and Carrie Louise Hogan (Cronhardt); and his siblings, Edward, William, Anne, Charles, Jack and Frank.

He is survived by: his significant other Katherine Ann Wilkes of Summit; his son Robert Wilkes Hogan (Ekuko); his grandchildren, Takeru and Erica; his daughter Mary Kate Anderson (Tom); his granddaughter Cara; and his children, Margaret Ann Hogan and John William Hogan (Rachael). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Riverside.
