He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Noble MacDonald and Elizabeth Bain MacDonald; his siblings, Mary McQueeney and Robert; and his sister-in-law Barbara MacDonald.
He is survived by: his wife Doris "Dottie" French MacDonald; his children, John D. MacDonald (Joan Garuti) of Unity and Nancy MacDonald (Matthew Townsend) of West Simsbury; his grandson Sean Townsend (Andrea Kadilak); his great grandchild Rowan of Southington; and his granddaughter Erin Townsend of New York City. He is also survived by family members and friends.
