We bid farewell to Dimitrios Nikolaos Gounaris of Rogers, Connecticut, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 29, 2025 at the age of 82. Dimitrios Nikolaos touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Nikolaos Gounaris and Styliani Gounaris (Mitsou). He is survived by: his wife Emilia Gounaris (Vlahos); his sons, Nikolas Dimitrios Gounaris (Barbara) of Willington, Savvas Dimitrios Gounaris (Tina) of Willington and Isidoros Dimitrios Gounaris (Rebecca) of Old Saybrook; his grandchildren, Emily Gounaris, Dimitrios Gounaris, Maximos Gounaris, Christopher Gounaris, Greyson Gounaris and Hudson Gounaris; and his siblings, Isidoros Gounaris of Danielson, Katina Christopher of Lake Worth, FL and Eleni Milonas of Athens, Greece.. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, church family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church (80 Water St, Danielson, CT 06239). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Westfield Cemetery North Street.
