Madeline D. Borgia Obituary
Madeline C. (DeMio) Borgia, age 98, lifelong city resident, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 30, 2026.
Born on June 22, 1927, she is predeceased by her father Valentino, mother Louise (D'Alessio), brothers Angelo and Chester, and sister Carole Lippa.
Academically talented, Madeline skipped a grade and graduated early from Norwalk High School, class of 1944. She worked at The Hat Corporation of America where she met her future husband, eventually moving to Rowayton to become a stay-at-home mom.
A wonderful cook, Madeline was often found in the kitchen cooking a delicious Italian meal for her children and grandchildren whom she adored. When not cooking, she could be found working around her properties, doing her daily crossword puzzles to completion, or was spotted out at the store usually with her late sister, with the two known affectionately as "double trouble."She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph's and a member of the Columbiette's for many years; Madeline will be sorely missed by many.
Madeline (Mama) is survived by her son Reginald Borgia (Pamela) of Norwalk, her daughter Valerie Bucci (Frank) of Estero, FL and Trumbull, beloved grandchildren Brian J. Fischer II, Al and Jessica Bucci, along with her late brothers' children.
Family and friends may celebrate Madeline's life with: Visitation on Monday, February 9 from 9:30-10:30am at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 11am at St. Joseph's Church, 85 S. Main Street, Norwalk, followed by burial at St. John's Cemetery, 233 Richards Avenue, Norwalk.
